How many people does each size fit?

The 3x3m suits a market stall or one table of six to eight. The 6x3m holds about 30 standing or 20 seated in rows, and the 9x3m holds about 45 standing or 30 seated in rows. The 8x4m covers 32m² for roughly 50 standing or 35 in rows. The 6x6m, a square room, holds about 60 standing or 40 seated in rows. The 10x5m takes about 55 seated in rows or up to 80 standing. The 12x6m holds about 120 standing, and the 12x7m about 140 standing or 56 at dining tables. For exact numbers by guest count, use the marquee size calculator or read what size marquee for 50, 100 or 150 guests.

How long does each one take to put up?

Two people can put up the 3x3m in about 20 minutes and the 6x3m in under an hour, with no tools. The 9x3m is also a two person job with no special tools. The 8x4m is a two to three person job and takes an hour or two the first time. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for the 6x6m, whose steel frame weighs 78kg, and an hour or two for the 10x5m with its lighter aluminium frame. The 12x6m and 12x7m each need three or four people and three to four hours. Do a practice setup before the event.

What does each size cost per square metre?

The 9x3m is the cheapest cover at $12.93 per square metre, then the 6x3m at $13.83. The 3x3m costs $22.11 per square metre because of its small footprint. The 6x6m ($26.36), 12x6m ($26.38) and 12x7m ($27.37) cost about the same per square metre, so the choice between them is about guest numbers, not value. The 10x5m costs the most at $31.98, and that buys the aluminium frame and full window walls.

What about delivery and wind?

Orders dispatch in about 2 business days (the 6x6m, 8x4m, 12x6m and 12x7m are pre-orders, shipping end of November 2026). Delivery is free to most of Australia. The bulky 6x6m, 8x4m, 12x6m and 12x7m are free to metro and most regional addresses in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC and SA, cost $150 to $235 to WA, $120 to $190 to TAS and $185 to $340 to regional QLD and SA, and cost $780 to $800 to the NT and remote postcodes. See how that works out for marquee delivery to Perth and marquee delivery to Hobart. A small number of remote postcodes need a freight quote for the 6x6m, 8x4m and 12x7m, and the postcode check tells you before you pay. See delivery by state for the full list.
