Which length do I need?
Roughly one bulb per metre, so the length you pick is the run you get. 20m lights a patio, deck or a single run over a 6x3m marquee. 30m covers the same marquee plus a run out along a garden path or fence. 40m suits a 9x3m marquee or a decent backyard party. 50m covers a large yard or a long pergola. 60m suits a 6x6m marquee with runs inside and around it. 70m is the sweet spot for a 10x5m wedding marquee with criss-cross runs inside. 80m and 90m are for full venue lighting, big weddings and several crossing runs. 100m and 120m light two marquees, a full reception area or a permanent install in one continuous run. If you are between sizes, go up: the cable joins end to end, so spare length is never wasted.

No, and that is deliberate. They run on 240V mains through a standard Australian plug, so brightness never drops off as the night goes on.

Can I join two sets together?
Yes. The cable is connectable end to end, so a 120m and an 80m can run together as 200m for a very large space.
