About this marquee
A 6x6m marquee for sale at $949 gives you 36m² of square, fully enclosed floor space. That seats about 24 people for a sit-down dinner or holds roughly 60 standing. Sold out for now: pre-order today to reserve one from the next shipment, shipping end of November 2026, with free delivery to most of Australia.
Why a square 6x6m beats a long, narrow marquee
Most marquees at this price are 3m wide strips. A 3m width forces one long table and leaves no room to walk behind chairs. The 6x6m is a genuine square room at 6 metres on both sides, so you can run two tables side by side, put a bar in one corner and a dance space in the other, and still move around comfortably. For a backyard party, an engagement or a milestone birthday, the shape is the whole point.
If you are weighing sizes, our marquee size calculator works out the floor space you need from your guest count in about ten seconds.
Fully enclosed, or open, or somewhere in between
Every side wall attaches and detaches on its own. Leave all four sides off for airflow on a hot Brisbane afternoon, drop two walls on the windward side when the weather turns, or fully enclose it for an evening event. The zip up door has 1.8m of clearance so guests, catering trolleys and a keg all fit through without ducking.
Setting it up
Two people can put this up in around 60 to 90 minutes the first time, and closer to 45 minutes once you have done it before. The frame is 38mm steel, not aluminium, so it is solid but it is not light at 78kg. Lay the roof out flat, build the frame around it, then lift as a team.
This is an occasional use structure, not a permanent building. It must be weighted or pegged every single time. Our guide on how to weigh down a marquee in wind covers exactly how much ballast a 36m² roof needs, and it is the single most common thing people get wrong.
How it compares in our range
Step down and the 9x3m event marquee at $349 gives you 27m² in a long 3m wide shape. Step up and the 10x5m luxury wedding marquee at $1,599 brings 50m² and an aluminium frame, and the 12x6m grand marquee at $1,899 opens out to 72m².
Yours for every event
At $949 the 6x6m is yours to keep. Put it up for the birthday, pack it down, and it is ready again for Christmas, the school fete and every event after that.
